About Our Client

Our client is a popular fast-fashion retailer from the US. It is ranked as one of the most preferred brands by teenagers, and is among the largest privately-owned apparel companies globally. After the huge amount of success in both retail and on line business in US, they are looking to expand rapidly in the Asian region and therefore looking for an experienced merchandiser for Guangzhou office.

Job Description

As a Senior Apparel Merchandiser you will be providing sourcing support to headquarter development team, production team and design team; and to keep effective development /production coordination between headquarter and Vendors. Other responsibility include:

• Source apparel vendors-Company or Factories, including Men's Factories, Women's Factories and Kid swear Factories.
• Provide up-to-date information of new vendors to QC Department on the progress of test orders.
• Provide coaching to new vendors regarding to production procedure and to explore Vendors' Development Capacity.
• Work together with headquarter buyer and be responsible of production follow-up with new sourced vendors.

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years experience in apparel merchandising in international companies, preferably in European or US fashion companies.
• Have strong knits, sweaters and woven products apparel sourcing network / supplier database.
• Actively involved in direct factories sourcing and negotiation, assists buyer in getting the most adequate products and best prices for the group.

Interpersonal & communication skills, good command of written and spoken English
