Job Description

  • Manage a designated customer portfolio to maximize the return for the Bank
  • Support and implement a local customer business development plan
  • Identify business opportunities, designing and delivering integrated and tailored solutions that meet the customer’s requirements
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities and assisting / co-operating with other Group entities in developing the businesses in China
  • Through careful assessment of credit risks, structuring of suitable financing packages, review of documentation and by monitoring all irregularities closely and conducting credit reviews in a timely manner
  • Work closely with the Credit Risk Management function to ensure all credits are in compliance of both internal and external requirements
  • Maintain frequent update of market intelligence
  • Ensure first class services are provided promptly and professionally with competitive and innovative solutions
  • Stay abreast of the customer’s business development through frequent contacts and understanding of their business objectives
  • Provide value added services to customers
  • Provide quality services and advices to customers / potential customers and feedback on business / call activities
  • Undertake ad hoc assignments at the direction of Sector Head/GRMs to streamline existing working procedures to enhance efficiency
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of Internal Control Standards, including the timely implementation of recommendations made by internal/external auditors and external regulators. Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Group Compliance Policy.

The Successful Applicant

  • Relevant university degree or equivalent professional qualifications;
  • Relevant experience within the banking sector, preferably in a commercial or corporate banking environment
  • Broad product knowledge of banking practices and procedures together with a demonstrated knowledge of commercial banking, payment and cash management products, treasury, trade products, accounting practices, banking law and security documentation
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service and sales skills
  • Good command of written and spoken English
  • Highly motivated and well prepared to take on challenges.
  • Self motivated and able to work with good level of independency.
