About Our Client
Our client is one of well-known International Retailers. They are looking for Regional Trading Director with solid buying experience in China market to manage and lead the buying team to improve product portfolio and sales margin target.

Job Description

  • Define customer needs, develop the regional category strategic plan and category plan based on the analysis of customer and competitor insight
  • Manage and lead the buying team to deliver the budgeted sales and margin and achieve company price strategy
  • Regular review the performance of range changes across multiple disciplines and identify immediate actions to improve performance on customer offer and reducing the buying cost
  • Review proposals for new sources of supply and evaluate complex supplier proposals, and lead complex negotiations with the buyers
  • Work closely with staffs, suppliers and customers to reduce the impact on the environment by using less energy and reducing, re-using and recycling waste

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 8 years buying/merchandising in Consuming Products Retail industry with more than 4 years middle or senior managerial level with managing a sizable multi-functional team
  • Thorough understanding of range planning, country and global supply chain processes
  • Strong track records in building relationship with International and Chinese suppliers
  • Strong track records in managing buying and/or category management with multiple categories in retail environment
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Excellent command of both written and spoken English and Chinese
