It employs some 7,000 people worldwide, boasting a diverse and talented team of professionals. This is a senior role that is responsible for shaping the strategy and vision in China. Take responsibility for the Operating Plans and budget to ensure that the business meets all financial and operational performance targets.

Job Description

• Take overall budgetary responsibility to ensure that the business meets all financial and operational performance targets
• Leadership responsibility for the country team, including input into goal setting, coaching, personal development, appraisals, salary planning and performance management
• Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction according to service level agreements
• Identify market trends
• Guarantee the brand development in the market
• Interaction with Service Providers eg market research companies, actuarial consultants, tax consultants & law firms. This interaction will be done under the overview of functional managers in the Corporate Development team
• Handle relationships with existing clients of FICL/FACL (UK entities) in the role of advisor for FICL/FACL
• Act as advisor of the FICL/FACL clients on specific topics (such as training, market information, product design)
• Provide advice to FICL/FACL clients on specific topics eg training, market information and product design

The Successful Applicant

• University degree / MBA
• Proven relevant experience within the Banking and/or Insurance sectors
• Previous experience of managing teams of professional staff is essential
• Excellent communication skills
• Fluent in Mandarin and English languages, both oral and written
• Strong planning and analytical skillsAbility to work effectively under pressure to meet tight deadlines and reach ambitious targets, whilst being able to execute
