About Our Client
Our client is a foreign MNC working in a niche sector of the oil and gas industry globally. They are seeking a Business Development Vice President (BD VP) to support their China business as it grows from a mid-size business.

Job Description
The Business Development VP will be the leader of all merger and acquisition and greenfield investment projects in China. He or she will be in charge of targeting, selection, negotiation, working with local partners and government to build partnerships and gain approval for all projects that will ensure the growth of the company in China. This is a key role in the business as management aim to grow aggressively in a 5 year time frame.

The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate has over 10 years corporate working experience within strategy, business development function working on M&A and green field investment projects. You should have extensive experience dealing with local government and Chinese local partners to set up partnerships, Joint Ventures and/or local investments. The client is seeking someone who is ambitious and able to work independently. The crucial criteria is someone who is very hands on and proactive in seeking out new investment opportunities and can add value to the company by being a self driver. Fluent English and Chinese is necessary as with extensive working experience in China as with good understanding of the China market, culture and people.
