About Our Client
Our client is a leading oil and gas company, with great reputation both in China and internationally.
Job Description
- Provision of tax advice and tax assurance to in-charge business;
- Manage tax performance of China segment assets/portfolios on an optimized way independently;
- Work with regional/global tax peers and business peers on various tax/structure issues.
- Provision of tax advice to the business segment e.g. in the form of tax planning and structuring etc;
- Provision of support to business and KL Tax compliance center colleagues on various issues of tax reporting, forecasting and internal control.
- Manage the tax audits carried out by the Tax authorities;
- Representing company on tax issues at negotiations with the tax authorities.
- Build up & develop segment tax network and provide proper and necessary training Support National Tax Manager to lead various tax projects in the country and group;
- Working with local finance and accounting staff and with external service providers to ensure that companies fully comply with their tax obligations primarily in China and elsewhere.
The Successful Applicant
- 10 years above PRC tax/international professional tax experiences, combined MNC experiences are preferred;
- Strong leadership and managerial skills who can manage complicated projects independently
- Recognized professional tax training, with a sound knowledge of corporate tax principles and Chinese taxation.
- Experience at dealing with Fiscal Authorities is essential along with strong negotiations skills.
- Good knowledge of economic evaluations and experience in the use of spreadsheets.
- A proven ability to work as part of multi disciplinary teams and to build and maintain networks within and outside Tax.
- Good English and Mandarin communication skills, both written and oral are essential
- The post holder will be expected to undertake frequent travel within China often at short notice.
