Our client is one of the world's largest petrol-powered equipment producer, as well as one of the world's largest producers for the construction and stone industry's equipment.
As Commodity Manager Electrical you will:
*Responsible for providing input, market insight, supplier market analysis, benchmark projects, ensure implementation for our global supplier base and support global lead buyer.
*Create value through strategic sourcing and cost effective agreement that meets all the requirements for supply. This is achieved through a systematic sourcing methodology and continuous responsibility for the total cost.
*Responsible for the negotiation, supplier selection, and the development and maintenance of supplier contracts according to the overall strategy.
*Manage relationships with suppliers to improve supplier performance, streamline contract, create better cooperation and integration, and deliver improved results.
*Build and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with key suppliers within own commodity in order to reduce costs and eliminate waste.
*Create and maintain relationships with internal functions in purchasing. Ensure that the strategy of each commodity communicated to the relevant parts of the purchasing organisation and ensure that the strategy and supplier capacity is also adapted to the new development.
*Create and maintain relationships with internal customers and other parts of the organisation to ensure continuous improvement and a satisfactory level of service.
*Manage demand to optimise life cycle cost.
*Implement cost-saving measures, budgeting (negotiations and other savings included), an annual price negotiation.
The ideal candidate will be:
*Ability to define a vision and a strategy for purchasing and assigned commodities.
*Deep understanding of procurement of allocated commodities; enough to analyse issues related to procurement, recommend solutions and strategies, and implement changes.
*Good planning skills.
*Excellent knowledge of strategic sourcing and its application in such fact-based negotiations and cross-functional team collaboration.
*Ability to manage strategic relationships with suppliers
*Good knowledge of software applications, presentations, and database systems.
*Good communication skills (oral and written).
*Personal qualities such as diplomatic, social, good bargain, etc.
*Understanding of the importance of external and internal customer service
