Kepner-Tregoe have been supporting clients in China for more than 20 years despite not having a local office. As part of its expansion plans, Kepner-Tregoe established its China business entity in 2015 to better serve customers and lay the foundation for the next stage of growth.
To expand and strengthen business in China, Kepner-Tregoe China has an opening for a Shanghai-based Consultant. This position is Kepner-Tregoe's first hire in China and will report to the Regional General Manager, Southeast Asia-Greater China.
Our Consultant will sell and deliver training and operational improvement engagements. To do so, you will need to combine prior industry and functional experience, acquired expertise around the application of our proprietary methodology (KT Clear Thinking) and an understanding of client business issues. We will depend on you to deliver our services, establish strong relationships, develop new business and extend KT's brand in the China marketplace.
During an intensive 3-month on-boarding process, you will be exposed to the approach and application of core KT methodologies and sales training. We will provide on-going capability development to master the application and leadership of all KT technologies. After the on-boarding process, KT will commit to providing capability development on a continuous basis to provide all employees a viable career at KT. This will begin with the delivery skills that relate to the need for our people to train, coach, facilitate, analyze, consult and present to our clients. The capability development will then be extended beyond core KT methodologies to include additional sales capability, client management, leadership and management skill development.

- To head up China business and potential to establish a national team

- Key Account Management of existing customers - mostly multinational companies - Identify the demands, needs and special requirements of existing customers to develop new business leads within the organization; - Develop new business in electrical/appliance/automotive market for East and North China; - Collaborate with customer on new projects and help select the right material; - Promote special application products for niche segments: high performance temperature, thermal and electrical conductive, self-lubricating, metal replacement; - Gather market information (e.g. about distribution channels, customers, competition, market evolution, market price) during customer visits or other commercial activities; - Responsible for sales vs budget monitoring - Managing and developing all aspects of the customer relationships - including coordinating order fulfillment, complaint management - Assist customers in setting up and fine tune injection molding process according to product specification - Report to Customer Service in Italy for technical support and trouble shooting of injection molding process - travel 30% - 50% of time
