Job Description

• Design, development and timely delivery of high quality and innovative code from ground up
• Team leadership and guidance for Maintenance and Support staff
• Ability to work in and across team settings with Business Analysts and other development peers to analyze and design solutions
• Contribute to feature discussions, design reviews and code reviews
• Promote and adhere to coding practices designed to promote code reuse and standardization
• Design and develop within compliance with corporate security and privacy policies
• Identify risks and mitigation strategies
• Communicate effectively with other disciplines of the project team
• Engagement with the other Mediabrands IT groups to contribute to feature discussions, design, code reviews and performance engineering of solutions

The Successful Applicant

• 5+ years of experience developing software for operating systems, hosted applications, distributed systems, scalable web services/applications, service oriented solutions
• Technically proficient and current with the following technologies: C# and/or C/C++/Java development skills ;Javascript, ASP, AJAX, Crystal Reports, VBA and COM+ ;SOAP / Web Services, and/or SQL Server ;Database design tools such as Visio, Rational Rose ;Development environments, Frameworks, Deployment and rollout ;.NET platform and related technologies e.g SharePoint, Silverlight and Visual Studio 2010
• Bachelor degree or above in computer science or related fields
