About Our Client
At the apex of Thailand's retail sector is Central Retail Corporation Limited, a US$2 billion enterprise that has been promoting the country's most successful store formats and brands. The group is now embarking on establishing a major presence in the Mainland China market and are currently looking to recruit a Senior Division Merchandising Manager for Missy & Accessories to form part of the new core management team based in Shanghai.

Job Description

The position will set up and manage the Merchandising Department for all product categories except apparel and cosmetics which includes Missy, Hair Accessories, Costume Jewelery, Lingerie, Shoes & Bags. You will have to meet corporate objectives of merchandise planning, competitive assortment and brand mix, quality products and services that are catered to consumer's needs and lifestyle.

You will be directing the department's overall leasing function which will see you coordinating market research, tenant mix analysis and developing leasing action plans for new projects. And you will be responsible for increasing asset values by pro-actively leasing the properties, utilizing various marketing techniques to generate revenue and customer satisfaction. You will also be responsible for new tenant accounts and identifying and recruiting new national and international brands into the portfolio.

The Successful Applicant

To be successful you should have at least 7 years experience from a customer centered industry and holds relevant merchandising, sourcing, marketing, entrepreneurial and business on consignment basis. Excellent relationships within the tenant and brokerage community and comprehensive knowledge of all areas of leasing particularly in secondary markets will be a plus. In addition to experience in budgeting, leasing procedures, and reporting, experience in retail merchandising/being and store operations of high performing department stores in China, Hong Kong or Taiwan, in a dynamic managerial roles is preferred. You will be familiar with new fashion and product innovations in the China market and have an excellent command of both English and Mandarin.
