Our client offers a very down to earth, straight forward and multi-cultural environment and now seeks an experienced Audit/Finance professional to lead its Asia Pacific Compliance.

Job Description

Reporting back to the Canadian Headquarter Compliance Director, you will take full responsibility and control of the Asia Pacific compliance for our client and their many legal entities. Whilst ensuring compliance to all financial policies and procedures, you must also be making continuous improvements on the business and reporting processes by performing review of current finance practices and also participating in different projects which deliver standardized systems and processes.
Travel within Asia Pacific is required for this role.

The Successful Applicant

-Big 4 trained plus commercial experience (minimum 12 years)
-CPA or ACCA qualification
-Excellent knowledge of SOX or very strong internal control background
-Hands on and recent experience (over 2 years) with SOX or Canadian CEO/CFO certification role
-Good overall finance and accounting system skills
-China and Asia region experience
-Outgoing, confident and excellent interpersonal/communication skill
-Regional tax knowledge an advantage but not mandatory
-Travel to countries where the company operates is required
-Excellent spoken and written abilities in English and Mandarin required. Knowledge of another Asian language would be advantageous.
