About Our Client

Our client is a US-based, multi billion dollar investment business, dedicated to the life sciences industry. With a proven track record in its initial markets, a wonderful opportunity has become available to assist in the establishment of their Greater China business.

Job Description

A newly created position has become available for a Private Equity Principal, to be based in Shanghai, with responsibility for establishing and building an Asia presence for this US-based firm.

Reporting to both Director level and a varied range of stakeholders, you will take the lead role in finding and executing deals while also building a team beneath you. This will be absolutely crucial to the future of the business in Asia.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have the ability to break new ground in new markets, in addition to dealing effectively with the US based investment team.

To this end, the individual will have a proven track record of success within Asia's life sciences business over the last five or so years. They will also bring with them an extensive network from within the life sciences community.

Technically, this person will have related (vertical market) venture capital deal experience (over the whole investment process) and may well be coming from a buy-side background.
