My client is a US based, world-leading independent product safety certification organization. For the last 100 years, my client has developed standards and test procedures for products, materials, components, assemblies, tools and equipment, chiefly dealing with product safety. As their business continues to grow in China, they are actively seeking Energy Experts to join the team.

Job Description

The main responsibility of this role is serving as the company’s technical expert in China in the wind energy sector by supporting the development and delivery of technical services to achieve challenging goals. Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

·Drives consistency, integrity and engineering quality (1) in the establishment and application of functional safety requirements that are applied by staff located in China and (2) at company sites around the world as applicable related to Chinese certification.

· Assists and supports Commercial Operations in new business opportunities.

· Drafts, implements and maintains consistent and technically appropriate certification programs and requirements.

· Develops world-class staff through proactive development of technical training programs to ensure appropriate and consistent application of requirements.

· Serves as the technical project handler of qualified new or innovative products.

· Develops requirements to address new technical developments or product features through collaboration with colleagues.

· Utilizes external resources to actively manage impact of regulations, codes and standards on requirements and certification programs.

· Works with the responsible engineering staff to determine any necessary equipment and skills needed to fulfill evaluations, including those resulting from changes to standards.

The Successful Applicant

·Electrical Engineering degree with specific knowledge in power electronics, power quality, mechanical engineering, material sciences, and systems reliability preferred; or Physics or related field plus directly related experience.

· Detailed working knowledge of operations and technical vocabulary common to involved categories in the field of testing and certification of photovoltaic modules and systems.

·Working knowledge of appropriate installation codes, standards or guidelines as well as basic safety principles, Hazard Based Safety Engineering and involved conformity standards.

· Basic understanding of the principles of Lean Sigma preferred

· ?Effective communicator; high level of competence in communication and presentation; fluent in Chinese and English.
