About Our Client
Our client is European company with well established operations in China. A market leader within the accessories sector, they currently seek a suitable candidate to manage the sample room in China.
Job Description
Reporting to the General Manager you will work closely with European designers in the development of new concepts and products in addition to leading the sample room. The ability to design and develop both innovative new concepts in addition to managing co – development projects is essential. You will provide solutions to existing technical problems through the use of different processes, materials and the incorporation of design changes while maintaining stylish and competitively priced products. The production of samples to meet urgent requests and close co – ordination with the operational teams will be key elements of the role.
The Successful Applicant
To qualify you will have a minimum of 5 years working experience in the fashion accessories or leather goods sector, with a minimum of 2 years experience managing a sample room. Foremost, You must possess a strong sense of design and be capable of challenging and collaborating with global designers in the development of new concepts. Products will include cases and accessories for well known brands from Asia, Europe and the United States. You will exhibit a strong knowledge of the latest materials and manufacturing techniques ensuring feasibility and international quality standards are incorporated into both designs and samples. Fluency in English is prerequisite.
