Job Description

A position has become available for a Financial Controller, with a functional reporting line to the Corporate Controller. This role will cover monthly and quarterly financial reporting as well as associated standards such as China & US GAAP.

Most importantly, this role will support business externally with its value chain partners. The business' model is concentrated on licensing as well as product sales so the individual will need to use commercial and interpersonal skills from outside of finance to find ways of protecting revenues and ensuring compliance - especially around things like intellectual property.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will have experience of working for a listed firm that will have given them a complete knowledge of all technical functions governing the integrity of reporting.

Commercially this person will have been in a Greater China interface role where the challenges and opportunities of the China market are obvious. People who have worked within sectors such as manufacturing and consumer products where revenues are heavily based on licensing and its subsequent compliance will be at a huge advantage.

In addition, those people who have spent time supporting and driving the Sales & Marketing functions in industries where the preservation of intellectual property is crucial to maintain competitive advantage, are strongly encouraged to apply.
