Job Description
-Work closely with VP Development to develop new multi-brand hotels for both new built properties and refurbishment/rehabilitation of existing properties.
-Assist the Developers in technical and financial set up of projects and feasibility studies for the multi-brand hotels.
- Procure the services of Project Managers, Architects, Consultants and Contractors to plan, design and construct multi-brand hotels for China.
-Provide management and technical direction for the projects by coordinating with the Project Managers, Architects, Consultants and Quantity Surveyors and Advisors, and ensure that the hotel design and construction conform to group specifications and product/brand standards.
-Be responsible for the budget, works schedule, quality and cost reporting of the hotel projects from project conception till the hotel opening. Evaluate the technical and economic viability of the projects, and ensure that the projects comply with the technical and functional requirements and quality standards.
The Successful Applicant
-Proven experience as a senior Project Manager of hotel developments in China.
-Degree in Engineering or other relevant qualifications.
-Sound technical knowledge of building design and construction, building systems and installations (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing) including air conditioning, heating installations, high-powered refrigerated installations, building management system (BMS), etc.
-Conversant with the building codes and regulations, safety and environmental standards and requirements, and other regulations and procedures of the local authorities in China.
-Practical background, able to bring a hands-on approach to problem-solving on site.
-Strong leadership, decision-making and teamwork abilities. Able to manage and coordinate with the Project Managers, Architects, Consultants and Contractors in the execution and delivery of the projects as scheduled and planned.
-Service oriented, receptive to the needs of the Hotel Operations and hotel guests.
-Effective management and organizational abilities. Able to manage the resources and budget allocation, anticipate problems and set up administrative and financial monitoring systems covering all technical operations with support of Group Technical Services.
-Languages: good knowledge of English and Mandarin.
-Geographical mobility: must be prepared to travel throughout the country to the locations of the hotel projects.
