About the team
The Client Platforms Windows protection team is responsible for protection technologies and their supporting infrastructure services that protect the Windows Desktop/Server/Self Service estates. This include products such as McAfee Virus Scan, McAfee Agent, McAfee Disk Encryption, McAfee HIPS, Lumension Device Control, Symantec DLP, Microsoft Applocker, Microsoft Bitlocker and Zero Day Anti Malware protection.
The team is responsible for:
*3rd Line Support, maintenance, and Evergreening of Windows protection Technologies
*Planning and delivery of large scale infrastructure / agent rollouts
*Vendor liaison / management
*Detailed reporting and analysis within a complex environment.
This role will support global Windows Protection Services, elements of which require change / support activity to be carried outside of normal working hours.
Working within the team, the successful candidate will be required to:
*Perform 3rd Line Support of the Windows protection services listed above
*Work with team members, other IT departments and vendors to design and implement new security technologies
*Plan and manage projects to implement new or upgrade existing security services
*Interpret ISR Policies so as to ensure that final designs are compliant
*Create centralised global reporting to prove adherence to policies
*Manage/Support Vendor Relationships

Skills and Requirements
The list below is an ideal list of skills and requirements. We will consider applicants who meet some, but not necessarily all of the following:
*Knowledge of Windows 7/8, Windows Server 2008/2012, Active directory and GPO
*Knowledge of scripting - VB script, PowerShell
*Knowledge of Windows Protection tools listed above is preferable.
*Proven experience supporting Windows Desktop or Server Operating systems to an intermediate level of technical expertise including good technical design and implementation skills;
*Proven ability to adapt and learn new technologies quickly
*Find logical solutions to problems and manage to resolution;
*A good understanding of service management techniques, including change management, and incident management.
*Good communication and interpersonal skills;
*Proven ability to prioritise competing demands.
*Third Party vendor relationship management
*A flexible approach to working (work on shift)
