As a sales position within the APAC Team, the technical sales manager will be responsible for driving the commercial success within the team. Key responsibilities include, though are not limited to, the following within duties.
*Achieve the design win value that has been set for the year and his/her area as part of the global sales plan.
*Following the sales plan, ensure, through a continuous presence in his/her field of action, the finding of opportunities (at existing and potential customers, directly or indirectly through the sales force of external distributors and/or sales representatives) for Company products in order to keep the sales funnel at the appropriate level vs. the future business expectations (growth, profitability) for Company
*Follow ("teach & learn") technically (generalist) and commercially the open opportunities (in particular the qualified ones), to get the majority of them progressing effectively through the sales process (sales funnel). Identify at each step what/who is actually needed to move forward and further secure the chance of success for Company (e.g. see the competition coming miles away, etc.)
*Develop and grow existing accounts as well as contracts with new customers within targeted industries per the strategy agreed in collaboration with the business units. This will include management of direct sales channels, representatives and distribution networks.
*Using personal technical knowledge to meet the requirement of the clients and keep the CRM tools and KPIs update for the personal development.
