About Our Client
My client is a lifestyle retail company with HQ in America and over 50+ stores in China.
*Develop (including hire, train, coach and manage) the payroll personnel in APAC.
*Plan and assign workloads for the payroll personnel in APAC.
*Work with international payroll team to ensure worldwide SOX compliance and consistency with U.S. policies and procedures.
*Ensure successful payroll runs in all markets.
*Review payroll report packages for all markets.
*Ensure data in all payroll related systems (Workday, Workforce, Streamline, etc.) is accurate and aligned.
*Manage vendor relationship (ADP)
*Manage work relationship with all stakeholders (market's HR and senior management)
*Support payroll personnel in APAC to resolve employee payroll issues.
*Support payroll personnel in APAC to work with ADP and IT to resolve systems issues
*Manage payroll personnel in APAC to ensure internal and external audit requests related to payroll are properly addressed.
*Support SOX compliance efforts
*Any other ad hoc payroll matters
The Successful Applicant
*Minimum 5 years related payroll handling experience.
*Experience managing in-house and outsourced payroll operations in a multi-national (preferably a U.S. publicly traded company) with complex global organizations, and often working under the pressure of competing and sometimes conflicting priorities
*Experience with managing large payroll software package experience (ADP strongly preferred)
*Experience in handling expat and executive compensation.
*Experience in technical aspects of payroll administration especially as it relates to compliance.
*2+ years of people management experience preferred.
