About Our Client
Our client is a foreign logistics company providing domestic transportation and warehouse services with mainly FMCG customers. This role is newly created with their new hub built-up in Chengdu. He or she will be leading over 100 people on site and support business growth in Southwest China region.
To ensure all members of the Site Management team are aware and understand the objectives and strategies of their respective departments. This includes safety customer service and cost to serve as key components.
Formulate and set budget targets and parameters with the Executive HO senior management team for the Managers to ensure overall targets are achieved or exceeded.
Produce clear and concise written reports as directed by the Director and General Manager.
To ensure an appropriate organizational structure is in place for each department, which is staffed by employees who know what is expected of them and who are appropriately trained and supported.
Continuously monitor the activities and performance of each department making any necessary adjustments in order to maximize profits.
Liaise closely with the HO BD management who formulate and set pricing structures for the Contracts which are consistent with retaining the business.
Monitor and support your customer service site personnel, including your direct involvement in selling the credentials of your site services to prospective and existing customers.
Maintain healthy and beneficial relationships with all levels of the supply chain by entertaining and organizing constructive feedback, dialogue and communication.
Develop and implement strategies, which will ensure the future growth and development of the business relationship between related stakeholders.
The Successful Applicant
Minimum 10 years work experience within warehousing, distribution or manufacturing environments at a senior business level.
Experience in service industry and industrial relations.
Highly knowledgeable in warehousing and transport industry, knowledge of relevant legislation, industry practices and standards.
Manage a team of people to achieve budget targets, understanding budget and reporting functions.
Experience in successfully operating a profit centre in both warehousing and distribution.
Ability to manage internal and external business relationships in order to meet business goals, develop and implement strategies to ensure future growth and profitability.
