Provide IT support via the telephone, remotely or on-site.
Be part of a rota that operates a shift pattern between 8am and 6.30pm.
Provide end-user training when required to prevent repeat calls.
Take ownership of incidents, problems and major incidents to reduce business impact.
Work on projects, ensuring the Service Desk is fully trained on any new systems and creating any support documentation.
Contact third-party suppliers for end-user support.
Change back-up tapes as part of a rota.
Install software requests.
Set up, activate and troubleshoot BlackBerry devices.
Asset tag hardware and ensure assets are recorded within the appropriate system throughout their lifecycle.
Support Microsoft Office and in-house applications.
Co-ordinate office moves within departments.
Conduct new joiner inductions.
Provide IT support for meeting rooms.
Follow strict procedures for administration tasks, such as new joiner, transfer and leaver process.
Provide continuous feedback to the Service Delivery Manager to improve IT service.
Complete weekly timesheets to account for work performed.
The Successful Applicant
Fluent English - Native Speaker level
Microsoft Windows 7 and Windows XP Professional
Microsoft Office packages 2003, 2007 and 2010
Troubleshooting hardware on laptops, desktops and printers
Handheld devices/mobile phone support
Changing backup tapes
MS System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Knowledge of and can troubleshoot TCP/IP issues
