About Our Client
Our client is a leading retailer in US.
As a senior compliance specialist, you will facilitate supplier sustainability assessments for all paper-based and wood-based products; you will collect raw material source factory/mill information, administer source verification survey and conduct both desktop and in person audits as necessary to verify information
You will conduct regular country of origin verification for other high risk products. Perform desktop or in-person audits to validate raw material sources and compare to original specifications; you will support other supply chain compliance activities/initiatives such as conflict minerals reporting, CARB/VOC reporting, social accountability audit follow up and other special requests as needed
The Successful Applicant
To be qualify to this position, you will
-A minimum 8 years working experience in supply chain sustainability and/or compliance roles, preferably for a reseller or retailer.
-Knowledge of and experience with (FSC),PEFC, and/or other environmental certification and verification standards (ISO 140001, SA 8000, etc.).
-Experience conducting chain of custody assessments and audits related to compliance and/or sustainability of raw material suppliers and sources.
-Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
-Self-motived and autonomous worker.
-Must be proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook; must have excellent organizational skills and be fully capable of managing and prioritizing multiple projects.
