About Our Client
My client is a leading Italian producer and retail brand in ladies wear accessories. My client is a family run business with a leading brand and presence in Europe as well as the 2nd largest producer of women's tights in the US. They now have 20 stores in China, which are primarily operating through franchises with strategic partners and they are looking to add to open further stores throughout 2017. They are now seeking a talented and ambitious Retail Development Manager to help drive this growth.
Reporting directly to the Country General Manager, you will be responsible for 2 key areas. Firstly, you will drive new business development and be expected to bring in new clients are keen to partner with my client and commit to opening new stores across the country. Secondly you will be responsible for managing the operations of the stores and working closely with the franchisees to increase productivity and revenue.
You will manage a team of 3 people. 2 Area Managers and 1 Technical Officer.
Other duties include:
- Ensure all necessary budgets are prepared and achievements related to new client openings and new point of sales
-Develop relationships with local associations, government agencies and departments
-Promote the company, brand and its products.
The Successful Applicant
First and foremost you will have a thorough understanding of the retail franchising sector. You will have a track record in managing retail operations and working closely with franchisees. You will have a strong sense of business development and be able to demonstrate where and how you would identify new business opportunities and bring on-board new partners. This is very much a Sales role and therefore you will be commercially minded.
Other experience and skills required:
- Fluent Mandarin
- fluent in English or Italian, French or German. You must be have at least 1 of these.
- A thorough understanding of franchising in the retail sector
