Be able to take over the entire Quality Department consisting of about 40+ staff, you should lead professionally and disciplinarily the Quality department of the plant as well as achieve the quality standards requested by the client. As the formal representative of the client in the plant, you are representing interests and assumming responsibility for the quality of the end products, Solving all the complaints from the client. You should monitor the quality indicators, take measures in case of deviations and supervising the putting into practice of the established measures, implement, maintain and develop continuously in the plant the quality mamagement system according to the reference standards and the quality politics of the company.
The Successful Applicant
The ideal candidate has experience in working for a Western (European) company in China and therefore understands foreign (esp. US and German) quality aspects and requirements. Analyzing existing processes and implementing new processes will be a main part of the daily business as well as organizing the inspection lines for incoming, inline and ouside inspections. Next to this points it is required that the ideal candidate has several years of experience in QA/QC management and team leading (proven record) as well as experience in implementing processes and standards. An understanding of different quality levels within same product categories is a must as well as being able to communicate a point of view in a directors environment. Presenting skills are a must as well as knowledge about MS Office and ERP systems.
