About Our Client
My client provides retail fixture solutions for large multinational companies whose brands are leaders in their categories. In recent years, my client has a strategic plan of growth in Chinese market and a newly created Operation Manager role now exists in their facilities in Xiamen.
Reporting to Global Operations Director, you will develop and train the Operations team, strategically grow and expand capabilities of the team to support the Business strategies in the region. In addition to design and production, you will also coordinate regional Operations units such as Warehouse, Assembly, Supply Chain, Quality Control and Logistics. You will oversee internal processes, design and implement necessary changes in order to optimise functioning of Operations and introduce new ways of doing things. You will participate in the strategic decision making and bring solutions to tackle challenges presented by business units aimed at improving Clients' experience.
The Successful Applicant
Degree qualified in Engineering, you should have solid experience on a similar position preferably with overseas exposure. Furniture industry experience is a plus. You should have excellent communication in English and Mandarin with all levels as well as experience leading a team of 50-100 across various locations. You should be open, honest and director as well as stress resistant and detail oriented. Flexibility to 50% or more travelling is expected.
