About Our Client
The client is a global player in cable assembly industry.
1.Participates with other senior managers to establish corporate strategic plans and objectives.
2.Maintain up to date understanding of medical technology trends and developments for a wide range of products.
3.Oversee new medical products R&D activities, develop technical proposals base on customer concept with core team and timeline control.
4.Utilizes advanced engineering and analysis skills, evaluate technologies under development and evolve new verification methods.
5.Provide product design and application teams with expert technical insight on function of technology including complex problem resolution.
6.Work with customer to define design product validation/buyoff criteria. Workout drawing and BOM.
7.Prototype build control and buyoff. FA build control and buyoff. DFM/DFMEA workout. New material introduce and validation. Design project cost control.
8.Feasibility review for design project. Optimize and manage risk and compliance requirements.
9.Create design for manufacturability analysis for existing and potential new medical products.
10.Proactively create and implement design proposals to reduce the cost of existing medical products without any impact to form, fit, function & regulatory compliance.
11.Quickly, efficiently and accurately reverse engineer medical products and create complete detailed drawings and 3D models to support quoting and manufacturing implementation.
12.Establish long-term, on-going repeat relationships with engineering personnel at the company's medical customers.
13.Drive and support enterprise continuous improvement (cost, quality, performance, efficiency, technical issues).
14.Additional duties as required and assigned.
The Successful Applicant
Education1.Bachelor degree or above, majored in mechanical/Electrical engineering, Master of Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Working Experience1.More than 8 years solid design work experience. Extensive knowledge of cable assembly engineering (Material, manufacturing process, mechanical equipment, mechanism design, machine installation and debugging and so on).
2.More than 3 years' design engineering management experience in cable assembly industry.
3.Medical cable assembly experience with Medical device OEMs (preferred).
Background Knowledge1.Well know Medical cable & device market and application.
2.Strong knowledge of medical cable validation process.
Professional Skills and Competency/Training/ Certificate1.Innovation design ability, strong capacity in solving technical problem.
2.Design product transfer to production experience.
3.Be familiar with DFM/DOE tool.
4.Bioburden and Microbiology experience is plus.
5.Proficient in Auto-cad and SolidWorks.
