Merchandise Manager - Cosmetics, China
About Our Client
Our client is a Hong Kong leading fashion retail company with multi-brand luxury department stores in Hong Kong and Greater China.
Prefer who could understand brands, be strategic and have good relationship management skills to take up this China regional position.
Sales and Profit (25%)
*To achieve seasonal sales and profit targets based on the seasonal business plan
*To negotiate with vendors in a thorough but fair manner to secure exclusive ranges/space planning/ marketing support for brands and optimise the profit margin
*To work with stores and monitor stock level
*To be proactive in understanding the competition, recommend product and brand assortment to increase market share
*To determine pricing strategies for overseas own-buys
Merchandise Management (25%)
*To purchase compelling range of merchandise for own bought and concession brands for omni and ensure timely delivery
*To work closely with GMM and China Regional Team to develop new brands opportunities in each store
*To be innovative, and able to forecast upcoming trends by research internationally
*To be familiar with both local and overseas market
Brand Relationship Management (30%)
*To oversee the development and implementation of the overall seasonal cosmetics brand/ marketing calendar
*To work closely with regional team to identify marketing opportunities to support beauty growth
*To work closely with E-business and BMC to deliver omni strategy to connected customers
*To manage the business relationship with cosmetics vendors.
Talent Leadership and Development (20%)
*To provide the leadership, coaching and guidance to team to ensure commitment to achieve the Department plan
*To fully participate in the PDP process
*To partner with HR/Talent to identify Department Talent Pipeline
*To build a personal connection with each team member, understand them and identify ways to motivate, retain and engage
The Successful Applicant
*Broad knowledge of cosmetics and can bring new cosmetics brand in
*Solid over 8 years' merchandising experience about forecasting, budgeting, number analyzing and negotiation
*Strong commercial sense of the marketing trend in Greater China (marketing experience will be a plus)
*Strong team management skills and leadership
*Fluent English and strong communication skills
*Good communication skills and negotiation ability
*Logical and strategic thinking
