About Our Client
Our client is Top 10 global leader of consumer electronics, a key industry player of class, design and creativity, with over hundreds of stores globally within less than 100 countries. After their CEO gets onboard (promoted from Sales VP), our client has developed a successfully sustainable business model to embrace their future vision and implement a 5-10 year strategy into the China market milestone is on the China market penetration rate, increase the customer brand and grow strategically.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities
-Own overall marketing budget for the Chinese market and
-Deliver a coherent marketing mix and activities to hit the defined sales targets
-Understand and champion the brand at a local level, ensuring the presentation of the brand is consistent across the region and with globally
-Represent regional views to the Global Marketing Team
-Manage and develop the regional marketing team
-Manage and develop the joint Concierge and co-marketing projects
-Day to day account management of China distributors and PR agencies
-Develop understanding of the regional consumers and market habits, and derive insights to further increase the effectiveness of local and global activity
-Measure the effectiveness of local marketing activity and share relevant learnings with Global and other regions. Develop Best Practice in marketing across the region.
-Using global guidelines, work with the sales managers, shop managers and marketing managers in the region to develop a regional marketing plan with detailed budgets every 6 months. Present plans to Global Brand & Marketing Director for approval.
-Develop and manage the best (for quality and efficiency) regional marketing planning process and deliver strong traffic, awareness and footfall through all distribution channels
-Ensure China Regional Marketing functions as a team, sharing best practice.
-prioritize markets within the region for resource planning - budget and people.
-Work with and monitor performance of the local PR agencies ensuring quality press, media and event coverage across the region. With the Marketing Managers and Global PR team, select new agencies when necessary.
-Present regional requirements and views to global affecting all areas of marketing mix. Plan for the appropriate budget and materials.
-Via regular dialogue - formal and informal - with customers and retailers/dealers, plus industry data, form a detailed view of regional market habits, and use this to develop business-building customer insights
The Successful Applicant
-Strong leadership skills - ability to manage and motivate regional marketing team.
-Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
-Track record of premium/luxury retail/distribution orientated marketing and brand execution
-Works effectively with a wide variety of people. Can tailor own personal style to suit situation and ensure marketing objectives are achieved
-Initiative and follow-through.
-A passion for the consumer and the brand, and for seeking out and applying consumer insights that can build the business.
-Good planning and organizational skills. Able to produce 6-12 month plans in advance at correct level of detail.
-Excellent numerical skills - applied to budget management and analysis of the effectiveness of marketing activities
-Good written and spoken communication skills in English
