Despite being an established business, the China region has enjoyed continued investment through M&A, organisational systems, etc. to ensure ongoing growth targets are met and the continued success and expansion of the business long term.
Reporting to the Managing Director for North Asia, this key role will be responsible for the following tasks:
*Conduct market analysis and identify potential customers using various sources such as carriers, trade journals, networking insights and use those for actively selling and expanding the current client portfolio
*Ensuring timely and accurate sales forecast and using the above market information for planning all sales strategies
*Develop relationships with regional and local offices of global accounts.
*Building strong relationships with the high value key accounts (existing / potential) to grow revenue
*Identify client issues and design innovative and creative solutions that add value to customers
*Leading, coaching and monitoring a team of sales professionals including the implementation of development and training plans
*Collecting data from potential / existing customers and other sources on competitor moves, business lost to competitors and reasons
*Gather and report accurate market information per management requirements to assist the teams formulate views and insights for accurate business decision making
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will have a track record of success working in a regional or country level sales leader role for MNC organisations in logistics and supply chain, ideally within the chemical or a related industry. A hunter by nature you will have experience building new clients, business opportunities and revenues outside of the core client portfolio.
The ideal candidate will also demonstrate a strong solution approach to sales in addition to possessing strong experience leading, mentoring and developing a regional team of sales professionals. Finally, you will have highly developed communication skills in English and Mandarin, as well as possessing exceptional influencing and negotiation skills.
