About Our Client
Our client is a provider of online travel and travel related reservation and search services. The Company, through its online travel agent (OTA) services, connects consumers wishing to make travel reservations with providers of travel services across the world.
In this role you will be responsible for localizing and then executing global brand marketing strategy in China. You will support global with bringing its brand strategy to life in a relevant manner for Chinese consumers, identifying the key brand opportunities that will make the brand stand out, connect and engage as a leading travel brand. Your responsibility will include the adaptation of global brand concepts, local ideation and campaigns creation in collaboration with the Global brand team based in HQ and the identification of relevant consumer media channels.
You will be the Chinese brand leader and a specialist in consumer brand communication, media planning and digital connection with significant social media experience. You will create the team of media & digital experts needed to take the brand to another level and will identify, propose and test iterations and improvements to the China brand strategy.
You know how to listen to consumers and work with insights to generate brand communication ideas & plans. Digital and social communication & engagement is top of your agenda, experience and passion. You are a strategic thinker as well as a lover for great executions and you can flex both the analytical and creative side of your brain.
The Successful Applicant
*5+ years' experience in leading a brand communication for a consumer brand and/or with extensive experience in an advertising or digital agency;
*Strong experience in growing a brand through digital and social channels;
*Insight driven with a creative mind to amplify and/or create new communication & digital concepts and executions;
*Ability to effectively communicate information and decisions with the full range of stakeholders;
*Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage many different projects at once;
*Team player, with the ability to inspire and be inspired by many different types of people and roles;
*Knowledge of the digital and interactive space, as well as content marketing;
*Curiosity and connection to new trends in media and technology;
*Enthusiasm for the travel and e-commerce industries;
*Confidently take projects from briefing stage through to completion with limited guidance, and proactively bringing updates forward;
*Fluent in English and Chinese.
