About Our Client
Our client is a Fortune 500 industrial company.
Strategy Development: Work with Global team under direction of the Regional Director to advise on and implement Sourcing and Supply chain strategies at a country, account, CBG, regional and global level.
Managing Complexity: Work in a multi layered matrix organization, with competing priorities, must prioritize rigorously and consistently.
People Management: Manage multi country, diverse and culturally different teams of professional buyers and managers
Able to independently comprehend, lead and negotiate complex agreements, which will be predominantly local to region, but may be global in scope, for goods and services. Skilled in leading cross-functional negotiating teams.
Develops strategies and leads business teams through a high level understanding of data analysis, technology enablers, process flow analysis, industry practices, and market conditions.
Drives supplier productivity initiatives and jointly develops supplier quality programs. Ensures local quality assurance certification is upheld, constantly reviews QA and relevant policies, procedures and Work instructions
Teamwork: Serves as the team leader/motivator who seeks participation and diverse viewpoints from all team contributors. Can also operate well within a team environment, on a global scale. Acts as mentor to the team.
Sourcing Strategy: Leads and facilitates cross-functional strategy formulation for a commodity or business need, identifies key milestones, and leads team to accomplish business objectives.
Supplier Management: Serves as the primary contact for supplier development including business performance reviews, relationship management, and all negotiations. For a group of selected preferred suppliers. Acts as Corporate Commodity Lead Buyer for global or regional projects.

The Successful Applicant
An experienced procurement professional with extensive knowledge of sourcing and supply chain management.
Extensive previous procurement experience
Bachelor's Degree - Business Administration/Procurement or Technical. MBA Preferred
Contract law knowledge and working experience of supplier T&Cs
negotiating supplier contracts including complex service agreements
supplier development and measurement
Team management and development
Managing facilities management categories
Strong negotiation skills
Excellent communication skills
E-procurement experience preferable
CPM, CPSM or equivalent professional qualification essential
May require extensive travel
