About Our Client
Multinational Fortune 500 business that is invested heavily into their China business. They have a well respected reputation in China already and are now embarking on new projects that will further solidify their status as the #1 brand in their industry.
As the General Counsel, you will be responsible for the Legal agreements governing the management and operation functions of the growth & development of the various projects the group is working creating. You and your team will draft, negotiate and interpret complex contracts, letter agreements and other legal documentation relating to the projects, and supervise a staff of qualified and hard working legal professionals.
The Successful Applicant
In this role as the General Counsel, you will have experience within the following areas:
*Provide legal support to the Business Development function, including leading negotiations on development projects.
*Manage all business, legal and affairs - including negotiations for unscripted and scripted programming development and production, program acquisitions, talent agreements, advertising/production integration deals and content licensing agreements.
*Supervise a staff of legal professionals.
*Serve as counsel and strategic business partner to the Leadership team.
*Provide general advice and legal support to the business.
*Counsel management teams regarding compliance issues and risk management.
*Experience preferably to include in-house legal role in a local or Asia Pacific based company. Chinese-foreign JV experiences a plus.
