About Our Client
Our Client is a famous restaurant group with long and successful business across Europe.
As a new business strategy and expansion in China, our client is going to break new business in China market in Shanghai, we will open new restaurants in Shanghai before next year end and will open 2 more in each following year.
*Develop, implement and monitor financial policies and procedures to meet the needs and in accordance with Group policies and procedures
*Ensure controls are in place and are adhered to
*Prepare monthly cash flow forecasts and manage cash to ensure that business has sufficient funds to meet its daily operating needs
*Maintain General Ledger including monthly balance sheet reconciliations
*Fixed asset processing, ensuring correct posting, coding and accounting for fixed assets
*Monthly close process and journal entries
*Support UK management accounts team with weekly figures and management reporting pack
*Ensure monthly results are produced accurately, timely and in accordance with Group standards and deadlines
*Responsible for annual budget and quarterly projection
*Provide explanations on variances to budget/projection
*Ad hoc analysis
*Responsible for all PRC financial reporting requirements
*Ensure the Chinese statutory accounting system (KECCI) is kept up to date and reconciles to SUN system
*Responsible for all local tax compliance and reporting
*Provide support to local and group audit
*Familiar with local regulations and be able to identify financial risks associated with company registration, permits, licenses etc.
*Assist in contract reviews and advise on financial implications.
Shop financial control
*Working with Group Internal Audit to ensure in-shop financial processes and internal audit function are successfully implemented and monitored
*Respond to shop finance enquiries
*Liasing with Payroll service provider FESCO to ensure payroll is processed correctly
Other administrative support
*In addition to the finance function, the individual will also support the Country Manager with the coordination of IT, legal, payroll and other administrative tasks as required
*Assist with the preparation of all PIC (Property Investment Committee) packs
*Provide support to new shop openings
4. Additional Responsibilities
*To take part in ad hoc projects are required.
*To attend the required number of Buddy Days in a designated shop
The Successful Applicant
*Fluent in Mandarin and English both written and spoken
*Degree in Accounting or Finance, professional qualification is preferable
*At least 8 years of experience in a similar role
*Comprehensive understanding of general accounting theory and practice
*Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft Office package, especially Excel
*Strong leadership and organisational skills
*Ability to work fast, accurately, independently and flexibly to meet urgent demands and deadlines
*Team player with a can-do spirit and a passion for excellence
*Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and across different departments
