About Our Client
My client is a leading global industrial group whose leading positions are based on advanced polymer technology and in-depth applications know-how. They develop high-performance solutions for demanding industrial environments. My client has annual sales of about RMB 1.5 billion, with about 15,000 employees in over 40 countries.
The Financial Controller will implement the complete financial and accounting functions of the China operations in a global reporting environment. Functions include but are not limited to preparation of interim and final financial statements with supporting schedules, financial analyses of operations, implementing sound financial plans, policies and practices, maintenance of fiscal records, tax compliance, internal controls, cost accounting, budgeting and forecasting, audit coordination, and compliance with accounting regulations, statutory filings and the parent company. He/She will report directly to the Plant Manager and functionally (dotted line) to Financial Controller PA Manufacturing - BU Industrial Tires. Establishing good relation with local authorities will be one of the most important tasks.
The Successful Applicant
*Qualified Accountant. All or a portion of the candidate's education accomplished in an English speaking country would be an asset.
*5+ years of experience in financial management in manufacturing industry.
*Strong cost accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing companies. Experience of Process Trade is preferred.
*Excellent working knowledge and experience in both Chinese Accounting Standards and International Accounting Standards/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS, PRC GAAP and tax regulations).
*Work experience in JV or WOFE (wholly owned foreign enterprise) in China. Hands-on management style and culturally sensitive.
*Excellent computer skills including MS Office with emphasis on Excel and knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
*Forecast and Annual Budgeting experience.
*Prior responsibility for external audits for quarterly reviews and annual audits is an asset.
*A seasoned, communicative leader with executive demeanor and excellent leadership and team building and change management skills. Strong people management skills and capable of independently managing a team in PRC, while reporting globally.
*Fluent in English and Mandarin (read, write, speak) mandatory
*Ability to set the standard for business ethics and personal business conduct; an impeccable record of honesty and integrity working as part of an international organization.
