About Our Client
My client is a famous Japan company which has 63 plants and 14 Technical Center globally. They are Top 1 in Japan and Top 3 globally within it's industry. They are recruiting a Finance Controller in Hefei who will report to China Finance Director Directly.
Direct the development and implementation of sound accounting and budgetary policies, procedures, reports, tax planning and effective control mechanisms, including internal audit programs, to ensure the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial and operating data, optimal protection of assets, minimal potential risks and maximum contribution to the financial health.
Ensure that the financial affairs of the company are conducted in an effective and prudent manner such that the interests of the company are protected and furthered. Monthly financials for reporting to CHQ are to be prepared in accordance with IFRS. Responsible for the timely submission of these reports to local Management and Asia.
Responsible for tax planning/reporting to tax authorities and attend to company's tax matters.
Liaise with external auditors, co-ordinate and meet auditor's requirement in the performance of annual audits.
Provide general legal advice, including interface with external legal counsel , with regard to services required to adhere to government requirements, mandatory licenses, permits, etc.
Organize and structure the accounting function and articulate the role and performance expectations of the accounting unit. Select, develop and manage the accounting team members to:
1.Ensure that the Finance Department staff work as a cohesive and effective team.
2.Assure a high level of professional and technical competence and productivity.
3.Assure the best possible use of individual and group skills and capabilities.
Coordinate the annual budgeting plan and recommend priorities based on the company's financial conditions to ensure maximum productivity and cost effective use of financial resources.
As a member of the management team, participate in the analysis and evaluation of the business and financial performance relative to targets as approved in the annual budgeting plans.
Perform other management duties when necessary as required and directed by the management.
Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure timely collection of Account Receivable. Follow up with Sales and Marketing on outstanding AR.
Advice Sales and Marketing on the credit standing of customers assist in establishing credit terms.
Work with Production to ensure timely submission of production statistics for monthly reporting.
Prepare cash flow requirements, responsible for treasury operation and maintain effective relationship with bankers.
Responsible for controlling/monitoring and administrating insurance policies to ensure optimal protection of assets and minimization of potential risks.
The Successful Applicant
At least 5 years' experience at management level.
A degree in Accountancy or Finance.
Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English, written and spoken.
Conversant with China's financial legal knowledge.
Good financial modeling skills.
The candidate must have exposure with multinational companies and someone from the manufacturing industry would have an advantage.
