Leadership Domains and Capabilities
The Co-Principals will provide educational leadership to teaching staff and ensure quality educational experiences and outcomes for the students of YCIS or YWIES.
The role description of a Co-Principal articulates what school leaders should know, understand and be able to do.
The following five areas describe domains and capabilities that encapsulate the essence of school leadership. The domains are derived from extensive research and practice undertaken by internationally renowned educator and author Thomas Sergiovanni.
Demonstrate capacity to effectively optimise the school's financial, physical and human resources through sound management practices and organisational systems and processes that contribute to the implementation of the school's vision and goals.
Technical Leadership Capabilities

Demonstrates ability to foster a safe, purposeful, accountable, caring, harmonious, respectful and inclusive learning environment, and the capacity to develop constructive and respectful relationships with staff, students, parents and other stakeholders. Uses data to measure organisational health and develop action plan as appropriate. Effectively manages all aspects of teaching staff employment conditions, including performance management. Makes and communicates informed decisions. Manages crises and challenging situations effectively.

Additionally, the Co-Principal is required to:
*Submit reports to the Regional Director, and Executive Board, as required
*Meet regularly with the Senior Leadership Team and execute responsibilities in accordance with requirements
*Perform other duties as might be assigned by the Regional Director/Executive Board from time to time
The Successful Applicant
- over 6 years school management experience
- strong academic background
- need to have principal qualification certificate
