About Our Client

Reporting to the Group Finance Director your main responsibilities will be to:
*To scope out and take responsibility for all procurement activity undertaken by the organisation.
*Have accountability for all external spend.
*Design and develop all procurement policy and processes and deploy these across the organisation.
*Ensure governance and compliance to procurement procedure.
*Lead the business planning for procurement activity to ensure full ownership and engagement with the senior managers.
The initial objectives include, but are not limited to:
*Spend data analysis
*Design procurement strategy
*Initiate cost management
*Short term strategies to identify (and deliver) cost saving activity
The longer term strategies and opportunity for the successful applicant are down to the individual to develop. This could include identification of procuring additional funding, securing further external revenue streams, creation of procurement hubs and frameworks for use by 3rd party organisations - it is truly an opportunity that an ambitious and driven applicant can take in new and interesting directions.
The Successful Applicant
You will be a qualified Procurement Professional, and have proven and demonstrable experience of procurement transformation or delivery in a Greenfield site. Further you will have experience of working within a senior team, influencing business and of engaging with and influencing stakeholders at a senior level in a multi-site environment.
The successful candidate will likely be MCIPS qualified with a commercial mind-set and will play a key role in implementing the strategic vision and in driving it forward in challenging economic times. Rigorous but approachable, you will possess excellent communication skills and understand how to develop internal relationships to ensure Procurement truly partners across the whole organisation.
