About Our Client
Our client is a leading Euro Consulting firm extending its profitable global business over the past 70 years with office cross America, Asia, Europe, etc.
It is also recognized for its innovative, dynamic working environment, passion for its brands and customers and as a place where talented people are inspired and challenged to release their full potential.
Due to rapid growth in Asia, it is now seeking exceptional talent to join its IT team.
The "IT Manager (China)" is responsible for the development, management and ongoing maintenance of all aspects of the Information Systems infrastructure and operations across China offices. The IT Manager manages IT staff located in Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, and is accountable for core technologies deployed in the region. The China IT team supports about 300 users across the China offices.
Technologies include server hardware and software, virtualisation, storage and archiving systems, Microsoft Active Directory, backup and disaster recovery, perimeter security, internal systems security, local and wide area data communications, voice and video communications and data centres facilities. The role also requires management on projects, vendors, staff and stakeholders, administration and budgeting.
Importantly, this role is 50% Managerial and 50% hands-on technical. The role requires sound technical competence across a wide range of contemporary technologies and involves variety - one minute you will be managing the entire China team, then you might be planning a new data centre project, then helping a user with desktop support.
