Business Development and Marketing Manager for China-Law Firm

About Our Client
Our client is an international commercial law firm, it ranks in the 'upper levels' of maritime law within both the UK and globally.
*Advises on BD investment decisions at practice group level, identifies new BD opportunities in China and oversees budget expenditure.
*Manages and prioritises resources to ensure that BD initiatives in China are supported appropriately.
*Works closely with partners to devise client plans and business development plans
*Works closely with the regional BD team.
*Develops relationships and trust with partners not just in China but across the Asia network.
*Drives regional BD and marketing initiatives in China.
*Drives and executes projects from start to finish .
*Leads pitch strategy discussions and helps deliver bilingual documents.
*Develops, designs and implements marketing campaigns in China.
*Prepares and assists in the production, editing and mailing of internal newsletters, client updates and other client communications.
*Collects and compiles information for submissions to Chambers, Legal 500, and relevant industry awards.
*Identifies gaps or improvements to the current suite of marketing materials
*Plans and coordinates client seminars and sponsorships, including: budget tracking, drafting/mailing invitations, internal/external advertising, production of seminar materials and hand-outs, working or attending the event, measuring ROI and ensuring participant follow up.
*Works closely with the PR team to identify relevant PR opportunities for partners and associates.
*Provides training opportunities to develop associate BD skills.
The Successful Applicant
*Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Law, Communications or related field .
*A minimum 5 -6 years related experience within legal sector or professional services sector .
*Experience of driving through change in a challenging environment.
*Outstanding interpersonal skills and capability to work effectively in international law firm environment.
*Strong knowledge of core marketing principles including driving innovative tools and programs, competitive intelligence, market research, and pitch and RFP responses.
*A proactive, tenacious and commercial approach.
*Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple requests, assess priorities, and achieve solutions under deadlines. Ability to follow essential instructions organize the event and meetings.
*Strong management and leadership skills
*Ability to work to deadlines, to juggle multiple projects, and to deliver excellence under pressure.
