About Our Client
Our client is in charge of the Equity Derivatives eCommerce platform and builds connectivity tools aimed at answering HSBC external customers' requests for quotes, both on primary and secondary markets.
*To support the analysis and specification of requirements from a range of business areas, and to work with development and testing teams to deliver these.
*Working with the business to understand and improve current procedures and the way that these are supported in the IT environment.
*To take ownership of assigned projects and initiatives and to follow these through to resolution.
*Production of detailed specifications to allow business requirements to be understood and delivered by the development team.
*Assisting in designing and overseeing execution of the test plans and assists in SIT or UAT testing.
*Actively participate in team mentoring, coaching and knowledge sharing
*To look for opportunities to improve processes and the way that they are supported through liaison with both the business and the vendor.
*Control - understand, follow and demonstrate compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which you are involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
*Maintain HSBC Internal Control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators.
*Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations.
The Successful Applicant
*Experience on Requirements Analysis, System Analysis and Application Development.
*Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills in English
*Ability to articulate solution design to team and clients.
*Strong customer focus and commitment to delivery.
*Good relationship management skills
*Excellent problem solving and User support skills
*Good understanding on investment banking, financing business.
*Ability to lead and conduct workshops to gather business requirements.
*Knowledge of a testing methodology and experience in testing
*Positive 'can do' attitude and being self-motivated.
*Ability to work in fast-paced environment with proven ability to handle multiple work threads at one time
*Have a proactive and practical approach.
