About Our Client
Our client is a global supplier of commercial vehicle engine and transmission cooling solutions to OEMs and the independent aftermarket. Globally they are operating manufacturing sites in Sweden, USA, Brazil and China with in total more than 800 employees. From the prospective of the products, our client is the global leading at the engine and transmission cooling system. Their products are including Engine cooling, oil cooler, bus cooling and GENSET cooling.
With the ambitious business expansion plans in China, our client start up their 1st Asia manufacturing site in Kunshan in 2015 and it's also one of their oil cooler sites. Their oil coolers are based on many years of development in cooperation with the market leading commercial vehicle customers and now they're bringing this OEM experiences and technology to China.
*Manage the customer development team consisting of Sales and Project Management, to drive profitable new business opportunities as well as improve profitability of existing contracts
*Ensure the sales and program management tools are applied by the customer development teams
*Work with the VP of customer development and the divisional management team to develop a strategic business plan for the division.
*Propose annual tech prod budget and maintain rolling 12 month forecast of all divisional tech prod.
*Approve tech prod projects and deliver tech prod savings agreed to in the budget process. This includes idea bank management.
*Represent division project portfolio at 'Project Management Committee' and prepare monthly status reports.
*Annual budgeting process for all inputs to the key performance indicators.
*Manage risk and deviations that are escalated, prioritize between platforms if necessary and escalate when required.
The Successful Applicant
*Has strong experience and knowledge of project management, preferably from an automotive background.
*Able to work as a high level interface with the customer and process strong communication and negotiation skills.
*Able to maintain and develop long term customer relationships.
*Has the right and obligation to access and review all activities in the organization to secure that the organization goals will be fulfilled with respect to results, time, cost and efficiency.
*Approve corrective actions from customer development managers
*Decides about meetings and conferences needed within the organization.
*Decides about travel, visits and tools needed within the economical frames for the organization.
*Approves expenses and requisitions from the organization before final approval
*Has the right to delegate responsibility and authority to individual customer development members
