About Our Client
Our client is a top 500 kitchen&bathroom company and have been operating in china for years and now expand business very rapidly.
Managing, coordinating and delegating the day to day workloads of Sourcing Specialists.
Senior level, local relationship management of suppliers, assisting with development and implementation of company policies and procedures. Key support for the central team
Engage proactively in cost strategy discussions and negotiations. Contribute to the development and maintenance of purchasing policy, as well as instructions for implementation. To drive central procurement initiatives regionally for both 3rd Party & Raw Material sourcing.
Management of regional strategic sourcing initiatives, optimizing value streams & TCO.
To monitor regional market place research and report trends and changes, making recommendations to central 3rd Party Sourcing and Procurement teams.
Assists with determination of vendor financial and organizational capabilities to ensure provision of products proposed
To establish and maintain close relationship with SOIP lead, monitoring vendor performance to ensure regional KPI delivery
Develop additional performance metrics that will allow for more in depth analysis of additional vendor capabilities, such as innovation, flexibility, knowledge transfer & continuous improvement processes.
Collaboration with central team to actively seek further cost saving opportunities and reduce any unnecessary costs and inefficiencies where possible.
Assist as required with implementation of corrective action to remedy any degradation in quality, providing support and a high degree of responsiveness
The Successful Applicant
Graduate level preferably business based subject
General Experience / Knowledge base:
- Procurement = essential
- Fluent in English
- IT = MS Word, Excel, Power Point. MS project preferred but not essential
- Supplier management
- Procurement - negotiation
- Administrative skills and experience in managing information databases
- Managing of, and understanding HS & E requirements - preferred
- Effective Communication / Presentation skills
- Leadership - be able to define and lead at a strategic level
- Courage - decision making and ability to address sensitive issues
- Adaptable, flexible & responsive to urgent requirements
- Attention to detail
- Planning & Organisation
