About Our Client
They are seeking a Valuation Professional to assist in developing and implement a plan to ensure Organization China is at the forefront of influencing the adoption of International Standards and the supporting Organization Professional Statements in China.
China is a key market priority for them. The successful applicant will develop key relationships with Chinese Institute of Real Estate appraisers (CIREA) Chinese Real Estate Valuers Association (CREVA) and the Chinese Institute of Appraisers (CAS).
External Stakeholders (including government departments, education providers, and other professional bodies), their Asia Pacific staff and member Boards, Professional Groups, International Standards Team, other World Regions, Products Team and their Training
A dynamic approach to International Standards;
Significant increase in use of International Standards and RICS Guidance;
A clearly understood direction, strategy and role for International Standards adoption;
A business-like, market-based, prioritized and focused approach to activities, outputs and outcomes;
Clear market analysis, forward planning, pace and project management that give RICS the edge in insight and timing regarding opportunities;
A positive and supportive working relationship with the RICS staff;
New market opportunities quickly identified and exploited;
A positive Member/staff relationship focused on practice-based outputs;
A culture of excellence and continual improvement;
Strong, productive relationships and influence with Government and other professional and trade bodies globally;
Efficient and effective practices, processes and budgetary controls.
The Successful Applicant
Being a good communicator across cultural, geographical boundaries and a variety of media;
High personal credibility, able to command the respect and influence other industry experts;
Experience in influencing and participating in the setting of International Standards;
Significant ability to lead operations and people;
Sound judgment and political awareness;
Market sensitivity and commercial awareness;
Diplomatic and persuasive with strong planning and organizational skills;
A team player who is able to develop constructive relationships at all levels but particularly with other organizations;
The equivalence of a UK undergraduate degree (defined by NARIC) and a relevant professional qualification in Valuation;
A desire to excel and ability to operate well under pressure;
