Major Challenges (The challenges inherent in the role that require a continual test of the role holder's abilities)
*Managing conflicting requirements and demands, balancing tactical and strategic needs to adopt the most appropriate solution
*Engage with teams across different locations and departments
*Influence stakeholders to ensure that delivery decisions balance architectural concerns along with potentially conflicting aspects such as meeting delivery timescales
*Explain architectural concerns and decisions in a way that is meaningful to stakeholders
Observation of Internal Controls (Compliance Policy / FIM requirements)
*Maintains company's internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators.
*Understands, follows and demonstrates compliance with all relevant internal and external rules, regulations and procedures that apply to the conduct of the business in which the jobholder is involved, specifically Internal Controls and any Compliance policy including, inter alia, the Group Compliance policy.
*Be aware of the Operational Risk scenario associated with your role and act in a manner that takes account of operational risk considerations
The Successful Applicant
Knowledge & Experience / Qualifications
*12+ Years experience preferably in architecture . If architecture is not core experience, willing to consider strong experience in Business Analysis or System design .
*Good working knowledge of the Enterprise Architecture discipline based on multiple years of experience with and relevant training in
oArchitecture frameworks and principles (e.g. TOGAF)
oModelling techniques and tools; developing well-formulated models across multiple architectural views
*Good practical Project Management knowledge and experience in use of software development project methodology
*Good understanding of the company's business products and services, processes and functions
*Familiarity with multiple technical domains
*Effective working knowledge of the regulatory environment
