About Our Client
Our client is a very fashion Lingerie brand and has over 105 stores in China.
Sales & Profit Management
*In charge of the overall Operational KPI's of the retail stores including setting and monitoring sales budget, efficiency targets, markdowns and net margin target.
*Develop & deliver business plan, guided by the COO and in line with company strategies that drives productivity improvement, customer services and revenue growth.
*Prepare sales forecasts analyses to plan strategies to achieve sales target, maximize sales opportunities and strengthen the brand.
*Monitor and analyse market trends and evaluate competitive challenges and identify opportunities for growth. Effectively use consumer insights and market information to set priorities targets.
*Work closely with Marketing team and Merchandising team on in-store or out-of-store marketing activities and store promotions.
*As part of the operational management team, give input to commercial meetings and act as representative for stores in commercial decisions to ensure that feedback and operational requirements are considered.
*Provide supervision, guidance and control of effective store operations and ensure effective and profitable running of business operations in accordance with company guidelines and values.
*Manage and control the expenses of store operations to minimize operating costs through systematic monitoring and reporting.
*Work with VM manager to set VM standards across the company and ensure VM guidelines are implemented effectively.
*Coordinate maintenance in conjunction with store development team to secure that store standards are maintained and the customer environment remains in line with brand expectations. Including focus on issue within meetings.
*Conduct visits to stores across the business in order to formulate and interpret operation strategies on enhancing the brand image and smoothing daily operations.
*Adhere to health and safety policies, direct and control the implementation and compliance of health and safety management within the scope of this role.
*Set required service standards for stores and work closely with HR on training and development.
*Secure new stores meet company expectations and work with head office departments to secure preparation and successful opening processes is set and carried out.
*Work with COO to secure feedback is given where opportunities for business improvement are identified.
*Support growth plans for new market openings and flagships store openings in conjunction with COO.
*Manage/set the regional structure globally, proactively securing possibilities for company growth with stability and tight control, reducing attrition and building morale.
*Secure appropriate structure in place for each region, based on number of stores, sales performance, experience and expansion targets.
*Build achievement oriented regional teams which is focused and motivated to achieve company sales growth and profitability goals.
*Coach, mentor, train & develop regional teams, conduct regular evaluation and development plans to facilitate calibration and consistent execution across the team.
*Build succession and growth plans to ensure standards continue to improve and expansion goals are met. Identify and develop future Regional Manager and Area Managers as well as personal successor.
*Secure training to all regional teams along with support and direction from the centralized functions. Set workshops and use training and VM resource to ensure that workshops are delivered and cascaded to all store teams.
*Act as example to all regional teams and set operational expectations on store visits and behaviour
*Secure all stores drive people KPIs, work with Regional operations managers and support functions to secure relevant training and support is in place for all store teams.
*Work closely with Merchandising Team to monitor and oversee the inventory level.
*Minimize stock loss and be accountable for store compliance to all stock management procedure.
The Successful Applicant
10-15 years relevant experience in multinationals fast fashion retailing concepts and a solid understanding of Hong Kong and/or China markets. Experience from other markets in the region or globally is an advantage
Proven successful track record in senior Operations Management roles
Strong cross-cultural skills, gained from living and working internationally
Working experience in international retail industry is a must
Very strong leadership skills and strategic mindset combined with a mentality to get things done on all levels across a broad range of areas
Used to lead, develop and coach sizeable teams in a fast growing business environment with a competitive and result driven mindset
Open and receptive to changes, flexible and able to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment
Used to working in a matrix organization with strong cross functional collaboration, flat organizational structure and where people are empowered to take own decisions and initiatives
Self-driven with ability to take initiatives and push through decisions
Strong team player with excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
Fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin, a MUST
Based in Hong Kong but with frequent travel
