*Be the public face of Qumin in China
*Meeting with clients and management of client relationships run from the China office. Includes growing these accounts via excellent and world class delivery and great long term relationships.
*Winning new clients through networking events (both that we run and attending those run by others) and leads from networking and introductions from the London office.
*Overall leadership of the China office including the culture of the office and hiring and retaining great talent.
*Managing the delivery team and ensuring great client delivery, exceeding their expectations and contractual and non contractual KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
*Working with WeChat, Sina Weibo, Baidu and other delivery platforms to establish a direct long term relationship - rather than use third party aggregators.
*Working with hosting partners re ICP licences and client set up.
*Establishing a network of freelancers and managing and nurturing those freelancer relationships. Managing their delivery and ensuring they deliver to budget and client spec.
*Managing costs against the Company Budget. Feeding into the Budget and reforecasts.
*Liaison with the Board in London including producing a weekly summary activity report.
*Ensuring the best talent is recruited, remunerated to at least market rates, appraised and retained.
*Set objectives for staff and regularly appraise staff vs. those objectives with timely feedback.
*Authorise and ensure prompt payment of the monthly payroll.
*Ensure that the Office Manager invoices China clients on time such that they pay to terms, with any problems swiftly resolved.
*Working closely with the Office Manager on all Facilities and IT issues, including excellent wifi and bandwidth for seamless communication with the UK office. Ensuring good relationships with the landlord in Shanghai.
*Ensuring the Office Manager pays suppliers to terms.
*Liaising with external accountants, tax authorities and London office on any legal and finance issues.
*Internal communications within the China office. External communication with UK and outside world.
The Successful Applicant
*A "Digital Native". This is a must, you've got to understand digital platforms, technology, and best practices. It's that knowledge that you'll have to tap when solving client challenges.
*Likely to have at least 2 years experience within the digital industry.
*Successful Senior Account Executive, looking to make the move to Account Manager.
*Honest, resourceful and with attention to detail.
*A natural explorer: inquisitive by nature and takes every opportunity to experience new things, from food to travel to music to technology. You will need to learn new platforms, cultures and devise new strategy and best practice.
*Prone to see (and seek) solutions, not problems. Ability to escalate quickly when needed.
*Fluency in Mandarin; excellent Business English (both written and verbal), especially over Skype.
