This key position will report to the Vice President, Legal & Human Resources and work closely with the China commercial team. You will have the responsibilities of a wide range of intellectual property related activities in China, both contentious and non-contentious. You will provide legal support with respect to general IPR matters in China, including managing anti-counterfeiting issues, designing, developing, and implementing IPR strategy, conducting IP training to increase commercial team's awareness, and cooperate with external lawyers / investigators in taking necessary legal actions against counterfeiters. In addition, you will act as interface to the corporate legal and IPR department at the headquarter to ensure efficient communication and handling of IPR matters, and provide pragmatic advice to senior management on IPR related issues. This position will also have responsibility to liaise with customs authorities and external firms on IPR, investigation, and litigation related matters. Occasional business travel will be required.
