Global recruiter Michael Page International opens new Pudong office

Specialist global recruitment consultancy, Michael Page International, has opened a new office in Pudong to build on its market leading presence in Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Guangzhou.

“A growing number of our clients are now operating in Pudong and our expansion mirrors this trend. We are the first global recruitment firm to open a second office in Shanghai which is something we are very proud of. Having a direct presence on the ground will be crucial when it comes to our level of responsiveness to both clients and candidates as well as providing local market insight,” said Andy Bentote, Managing Director of Michael Page, North and Eastern China.

The district government of Pudong New Area has launched a series of policy incentives to encourage multinationals to enter the market and this is driving significant demand for skilled professionals. The commercial, banking and financial services sectors are booming and these will be a core focus for the specialist recruitment teams at Michael Page International.

“Our Banking and Financial Services team specialises in recruiting for front, middle and back office functions. For the Commerce sector, our specialist team will cover finance functions such as financial control, audit, management accounting and taxation,” said Mr Bentote.
